This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use the posi point-of-sale application and the services at posi.page and posi.blekhaus.com (the "Service"), provided by blek / blekhaus ("we", "us").

1. data we collect

• Account information: your email address and basic profile details such as the business type you provide.
• Your business data: the products, inventory, prices, categories, and sales records you enter into the Service. We may collect and analyze the data you enter, including your inventory/product data such as product names, barcodes, categories, brands, images, and stock-related information.
• Usage and device data: event data about how you use the app, and technical information such as browser/device type and approximate location.

2. how we use data

We use the data we collect to: provide and maintain the Service; manage your account and sign you in; improve the product and fix bugs; communicate with you about the Service; and meet our legal obligations. We may also use the data you enter, including your inventory/product data, in aggregated or derived form, to operate and improve the Service and to build and maintain a shared product catalog, for example to suggest standardized product names, categories, brands, and images to other users. We do not sell your business data for advertising.

3. third-party services

We rely on trusted third-party providers to run the Service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting.
• Google Analytics — site usage statistics.
• PostHog — product usage analytics.
• Meta Platforms — our current advertising partner; ad measurement (see below).

These providers handle the data we share with them under their own privacy policies.

Ad measurement (Meta). Meta is our current advertising partner. Our purpose is to measure whether our ads work. Only with your permission in the app, we share with Meta: a hashed version of your email address, a hashed identifier for your account, your ad click ID (fbclid), browser information and the page URL, and event information such as registration or adding your first product (the type, time and identifier of the event). If you do not give permission, none of this is shared. Meta handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy, and Meta, not us, decides how. You can withdraw permission at any time in the app under Settings → Ad measurement.

4. cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language), and measure usage. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser; blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works.

5. data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention obligations.

6. data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. As noted above, because posi is in beta, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. your rights

Depending on applicable law (including Turkey's KVKK and, where relevant, the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

8. children's privacy

posi is intended for businesses and is not designed for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will try to notify you of material changes by reasonable means. The updated date appears at the top of this page.
